Impulse C

Impulse C is a programming language for implementing signal processing algorithms on FPGAs. The language extends ANSI C with additional constructs for specifying parallelism and dataflow, which allows algorithms to be expressed in a high-level manner while providing the ability to map directly onto FPGA hardware or co-processors. Impulse C emphasizes design productivity and faster time-to-market for real-time embedded applications in telecommunications, video processing, and software radio systems that require constant data manipulation at high speeds without the need to write VHDL or Verilog code.
