Macro is a simplified programming language usable on VAX architectures. The language allows for the creation of macros which can be used to generate VAX assembly code through text substitution and basic flow control constructs, such as conditionals and loops. Macros in this context are not necessarily preprocessor directives like in C but rather entire functions or small programs that reduce redundancy when writing low-level code for these systems.
